So I don’t forget, start sewing the legs on at the back seam 5 and 1/2 stitch columns from the center back body seam. The legs won’t be too twisted.

Sew across a knit stitch on the leg, then down a loop on the body, and continue. 3 stitches towards the center back body and the other 9 around the other side.

Then sew across the knit stitches on either side of the seam between the legs, leave a little gap at the edge, fake a stitch around the cast off panty line at the leg, and it will look clean and neat.

Starting the dress with Jamieson. Daffodil and ivory. I have found that non-superwash wool blocks better than superwash, so I like using this for doll dress color work.

I am not happy with the yellow and white plaid dress. I used 2.75 circular needles but didn’t realize until too late I would end up knitting in the round. And I didn’t have the right length circs to do that. There is puckering I am not happy with at the magic loop side edges. I will try again with 2.25 circs that are 40” long and red/white yarn.

The red plaid dress turned out a lot nicer. I move the edges of the rounds to the single-stitch color change areas and the whole dress turned out a lot more even.
