Brim Ribbing. I used the Alternating Cable Cast-on for one-by-one ribbing.

I knit 22 rows to reach three inches of ribbing.

Folding the Hat. When I made Laura’s hat I realized that we’re actually knitting the brim upside down. When it’s long enough, turn the patterned section over and fold the ribbed portion down behind it. The body of the hat will be folded upwards, inside the original ribbing.

Patterned Section.

• Where sl1 noted, I slipped one purlwise with yarn in back.
• In rounds 3 and 9, there should be parentheses around (k1, yo, k1) into same stitch.
• I continued making the bobble as demonstrated by Nimble Needles. I used Joji’s (k1, yo, k1) to increase two stitches, but completed the bobble as demonstrated in the video.
• This meant amending the k3tog in rounds 4 and 10 to k1, since the decrease had already been made in the previous round.

Body. I knit the body of the hat to 7 inches.

Yarn Usage. I was knitting round 6 in the patterned section for the second time when I joined the second skein. The body of the hat was four inches long when I joined the third skein.
