Notes

Meaghan chose the Gro Hat pattern, and said she’d like either a light green or blue or soft grey color. The Willow colorway was described as a pale eggshell blue, heathered with grey. It has a greenish cast, so I think it will suit Meaghan beautifully.

Cast-On. I used the Alternating Cable Cast On for 1 x 1 ribbing, and rewatched Sheep and Stitch’s tutorial.

I cast on 90 stitches and knit in ribbing for six inches. That took 33 grams of yarn, which should leave plenty for the body of the hat.

Size. I knit the body of the hat on size 7 needles. With the wide three-inch brim, I had no need to add extra rows. I think the hat should be just right for Meaghan. The brim fits snugly. It should be extra warm.
