This beautiful pattern is perfect for hand-dyed yarns with short color runs.

With just one skein of this unique yarn, I cast on 108 stitches, to allow for a wider cowl.

I knit rounds 9 to 18 four times, which made for a cowl that was eight inches high before blocking.

I only used about 60% of the skein, so I could have made this wider, but I think it’s right-sized for an under-the-coat cowl.
