Cast-On. I used the alternating cable cast-on (100 stitches), then adjusted the stitches for 2 x 2 ribbing. I used a cable needle to move the purl stitch to the back, then knit the next stitch from the left-hand needle, then purled the stitch on the cable needle.

Ribbing. I knit ribbing to 4 inches so brim could be turned up. Five inches might have been better.

Decrease Section. Like others, I will skip rows 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 of decrease section for a more rounded profile (see myriadknits’ Snowtracks Cap 2 - Green).
