Great pattern with lots of detail -- written, charted, photo tutorials AND videos of critical stitches.

Pattern mods:
• WS short-row connector stitch is Lyudmila Hefny’s p2lyoss, where you insert hook under 2 strands of the short-row tch, yo, place the yo in the second position on the hook, between the live loop and the tch strands, then insert hook in BLO of next stitch, yo and pull thru everything (holding the first yo in place with a finger), then gently snug the stitch to remove excess yarn for a very tidy and attractive RS.
• Ribbed hatband is Bss on RS, yoBss on WS, snugging down the last yoBSS and tch instead of working last stitch thru both loops. This makes a snug and tidy bottom edge that’s not too tight -- I swatched working thru both loops and it was just too tight.
• Not a mod, but a note: I believe what Svetlana is calling “front loop” is often referred to as “third loop”. This is an easy and very pleasing substitute for full rows of Fss then iBss that make me crazy in other slip stitch designs.
• Also not a mod -- very pleased with how the crown shaping and sewing up turned out -- easy and attractive, not too bunched up.
What I would do differently next time:
• I did a 6-stitch hatband, I think I would prefer something a bit wider next time, maybe even up to 12-stitches, or at least 9-stitches.
• Hat is just a wee bit slouchy, and I think I would prefer it about 1/2” shorter, so…
• …delete one 6-stitch pattern repeat, but add 3 stitches to the ribbed hatband might just do the trick.
