L-O-V-E this stitch pattern, it is SO stretchy! And actually very easy once you get the rhythm. I’m anxious to try the mitten pattern I found on YouTube as well… (OK, this is gloves, but there is a mitten pattern too…) Increases take some focus, but I discovered if I PM in the front loops of each of the inc stitches, it’s much easier to work them.

Medium hat is worked with I hook. Fabric is so stretchy it fits both me and Bill, but a bit snug on him and a little shorter than perfect, so…

Large hat is worked with J hook. And I kept going until I ran out of yarn, then frogged back one round to work instead the edge trim round. Hat is long enough to turn up in “watch cap” style, and he actually likes it! Maybe he’ll want to keep this one?

Hat is completely reversible, the ribbing being identical on both sides because it’s worked in turned, joined rounds. The crown is a bit different -- I think I might actually prefer the WS!
