Notes

Started this cardigan in late September, 2017 before having blown out my elbows a month or so later, and then my son died on Christmas Day that same year. Having only the sleeves to finish, finally picked it back up in June of 2020 during the pandemic times and got it finished.

Iā€™m always amazed at the new things and lessons I learn with each project I do. With this one, I learned about how to do lifted increases, and how to close the gap in the sleeve underarms. Also learned how to do the stretchy bind-off for ribbing, which I wish I had known about when I bound off the ribbing at the bottom of the cardigan because I just did a normal bind-off with larger needles but it is definitely not stretchy.

Someone dropped me a kind note on the 4th of July and mentioned they saw my project. I decided to go out and look at other projects of the same and realized mine was a little bit off. Apparently, I used the same 3ā€ dimensions as the bottom ribbing for the collar/front bands, instead of the 6ā€ it should have been! Oops.
