For this yarn, I had to move up to a US 5 - 3.75 mm sized needle to obtain the 24 stitches per 4” gauge called out in the pattern.

As such, I also used a US 11 - 8 mm sized needle (basically double sized of standard) for casting on since I didn’t trust myself with the finger spacing and wanted to be as uniform as possible. After cast on, stitches were transferred to the 3.75 mm circular needles before proceeding with joining in the round.

Before starting work on this project, highly suggest a few practice runs for Pattern B with 12 or 24 stitches until you get the rhythm of feel and flow.

Be careful with yarn-overs, especially where you have back to back ones that are first knitted then purled or purled then knitted (reference Round 2) … it’s a very loose feel and could easily slip if second stitch is not secured while finishing first stitch.

Also on yarn-overs, be sure you have the yarn over wrapped around the needle once when the next stitch is purled. And, keep in mind the yarn-over is relative to the next stitch, so if the next stitch is a k or ssk, and you just purled, the yarn remains in the front and not wrapped as just noted for next stitch being a p.

Lastly, some of the stitches are twisted (reference Round 12) and one could easily grab too many strands if not careful, so be sure you’re slipping the needle into the correct position for the stitch being worked.
