A wonderful pattern by Sara Gresbach! There are multiple versions included for yarn weights lace through worsted.
The yarn is wonderful at this gauge, very drapey and it is so soft. A pleasure to wear. The silk gives it a slight sheen, which you can kind of see in my last photo.
It’s easy to make any modifications you might need - in my case, I’m a bit between sizes, and I have bigger hips than bust. :)
I cast on for size 40 with the split hem, working both pieces at the same time, and worked the decrease round after joining. Worked 7 total waist decreases spaced at 0.75” each. Knit straight for 2” before increases.
Worked 4 total increases spaced at 1” apart, so I ended up with 4 extra body stitches after increases were finished. Then worked straight until it measured 16” from the beginning. I used the lifted increase method.
I followed the rest of the directions for the 36.25”, having one extra stitch for each side of the neck, and working an extra neck decrease so that I ended up with the pattern stitch count for the 36.25.
After the body was complete, I used about 140g/433y of color A (Fiona/green) and about 127g/393y of color B (Boulangerie/brown).
Sleeves - 104sts each, decreased down to 52sts. I forgot to measure my Color A after the sleeves, but after the sleeves and collar I had used about 97g/300y, and 66g/201y of Color B.
Collar - picked up every stitch for the back and front, and 3 out of every 4 along the sloped edges. I had 136 sts for the collar. I knit the ribbing tightly with US5 so as to try and avoid excessive stretching from weight of the sweater.
