I worked the top of the bag five rows too many (so the strips are longer than what the pattern calls for) because this is the first time I’ve worked a mosaic slip stitch colorwork pattern. There is only a little bit of a learning curve once you understand what the black and white squares in the column on the right mean.
From the test knit note(s): This bag is worked flat in two pieces, with a zipper and a rope over the shoulder. The colour pattern is worked in mosaic, and it is therefor good if you know how to read a colour chart for mosaic patterns. The gauge is 30 sts x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”, on needles size 3 mm (US 3). The bag is 18 x 20 cm/7 x 8 ” large. I am not a native english speaker.
