stash! swatched flat to be sure the top part (neck and arms) fits - got a good gauge on size 9 (5.5 mm) needles so going with that, and size 8/7 as the pattern suggest for the ribbing.

followed the pattern as written except made it a smidge shorter. LOVE the finishing for the neck and armbands with the centered decreases - looks really sharp!

finished measurements:
~39” bust
12-1/2” armhole -> hem (not incl. armband)
23” back-> hem (incl. neckband)
