test knit for Heidi! this was such a fun sweater to knit and the finished piece is very wearable.

Heidi’s design takes full advantage of the seeded rib - like short row shaping with the old-fashioned wrap and turn since the wraps are all on the seeded stitches and don’t need to be “picked up”, knitting the sleeves flat (before the body) since they’re mostly knitting, armhole and neck shaping that accentuates the vertical lines.

and she takes i-cord to a whole new level. The whole button-band edge begins with an i-cord at the back neck, and with held stitches picked up, continues down the fronts. even the pocket openings are “finished” (actually “begun with”) i-cord.

So much fun! and such a fantastic result. thank you Heidi for the opportunity to test!
