Notes

i’ve got just the slightest bit of red left. i did one whole skein of black on each end, and a skein and maybe 3/4 in the middle. it is SUPER warm and lovely long. i didn’t do the stranding as indicated in the pattern, since, like others, i was concerned about my scarf having a back and a front. i ended up duplicate-stitching all the blood drippys, and it turned out quite nicely. the drips on the “back” aren’t as noticable as the drips on the “front” but if it starts to bother me, i’ve got plenty of red left with which to duplicate-stitch the other side. i don’t think i’m going to block it, as the fanning out at the ends doesn’t bother me, and i’m anxious to wear it.

notes on the yarn: i probably wouldn’t recommend this warn for this project, although it is wonderfully warm and smooth. the lack of stitch definition made the duplicate stitching difficult, and because it’s basically just roving with a thread around it, there was a lot of splitting. also, i don’t know if you can even see that on my photos, but the ends of the yarn unravel once you cut them, and so i’ve got wispy red and black threads ALL OVER my apartment now…
