Two strands of each yarn, approximately 400 m per 100 grams altogether.Both yarns are thin 3ply, lavable/irrestringibile, pura lana vergine, merino

First time that I knitted a cast-off automatic ribbing band on a single bed knitted piece and very satisfied with it!
Before laundry:
10 cm = 31 stitches
10 cm = 54 RC
The pants are knitted in two pieces. Pattern: Decocard 39, slip mosaic - GX / BX left arrow, Deco on 2
Start with bottom cuff, 38:38 needles fb and bb, 1:1 ribbing.
Row 1: orange strippers, ziczac row, ss 1.75
Row 2 and 3: remove strippers, use cast-on comb and 3 weights, CX/CX 3.75
Row 4: N/N, ss 5
RC to 0
Insert orange strippers, knit 24 rows for cuff in 1:1 ribbing.
Transfer all bb needles to fb, bb now GX
Row 29: Insert black strippers, ss 5.5, knit GX/N
Row 30: ss 6, locks are now on the right. Cuff is finished.
Turn RC to 0
Ss now 6.5, GX / BX left arrow, knit with Decocard 39, Deco on 2, Color change every two rows.

On both sides 13 times increasing one stitch right and left every 6th row. (Don’t forget adjusting the pushers!) After this the same but now 7 times every 5th row. In the end you have 116 stitches. For this increasing I always just put a new needle into work at the edges.
Caution: Don‘t forget to put claw weights at the edges for the increased parts!
Then decreasing on both sides for the crotch, first once 4, then 3, then twice 2, then 2 twice 1. To get a soft, loose enough edge in the gusset, I recommend to use here double wrapping around the needle, as suggested in the manual, even when only decreasing one stitch.
Now you have 90 stitches. After this you knit straight upwards until you reach row 178. Now do the short rowing in every second row. You turn to BX put the pushers of the needles that are not knitted behind the rail, so here: on the left you first place 45 pushers into out of work position behind the rail and you do that again every two rows, but now 6 times with 6 pushers each, until you have left 9 pushers working for the pattern. Then put all the pushers back into working position and knit one row over all needles. Your RZ should now be on 193 or 194.
Don‘t forget changing colors every two rows while knitting the short rows!

Tunnel of 26 RZ (13 plus 13) in 1:1 ribbing, one color only, as a finishing automatic band.
