Sometimes the knitted piece decides for itself what it is going to become. The plan was a top with straps, just two simple to knit almost square pieces, sewed together, straps and nothing else.
We (the receiver knitted the stockinette) changed our opinion when we realized that the first piece came out too long, and decided it should become a sleeveless shirt now.
So the second piece will get a neckline.
While knitting with this yarn, I have developped a growing feeling of dislike for this yarn. It consists of just 4 thin parallel threads, some of these threads broke while knitting the industrial ribbing.
I am not going to frog it, although I assume it will not be a very nice shirt in the end.
Finished! On June, 28th, 2017.
I made it as simple as possible as I wanted to finish soon. Armhole blends are handknitted.
Still do not like the yarn.
Hope it is of any use for the receiver and not too uncomfortable with this “neckline”.
