Notes

Made two identical small size shawls. Left off top picot edging. Blocking now, the plan is to seam/graft up the middle to make a roughly square baby blanket.
Seamed pictures prior to re-blocking. Little pucker in the middle fixed by re-blocking, but baby was already here & I wanted to get this gifted so no post-blockng pictures. Doh!

In hindsight: For this pattern, I should have convereted the top edge from 2 garter stitches to just regular stockinette. would have seamed up much easier & neater. If I had done entire blanket in solid color, I would have simply picked up stitches along each edge and used the kitchner stitch to graft.

I like this general concept-two triangular shawls forming a square blanket, but next time I will pick a different pattern. I love this pattern and the border is simply gorgeous, but the intial border is tedious to knit.
