12/1/12-Finished! Couldn’t find a zipper to match the turquoise, so went with a cream colored zipper. If I knit this sweater again, I would knit it in cream or natural. Love the finished sweater and it fits the husband perfectly. Hopefully I can get some photos of him modelling it, but since it is in the 70’s still in SC, not going to happen right away.
(11/25/12) Off the needles. Blocked. Just needs a zipper and collar tacked down. The zipper may take awhile. The sweater looks great though. And more importantly, it fits!
(11/22/12) Picked up for the collar and have knit about 2” of it. The directions did not include it, but I left the four stitches at the back center intact, in the midst of the 2x2 rib. I am not sure if I will cable them or not.
(11/19/12) Sleeve #2 nearly finished, a few more rows then the cuff. Then onto the collar & finishing.
(11/11/12) Sleeve #1 finished. Did not do the last 10 decreases as written since it was getting too tight for the husband. This yarn is 50% alpaca so it should block out bigger (thank goodness since it I finally got the husband to try it on). Started on second sleeve.
Plodding along. Cables take forever for me. Almost to the end of the small diamond pattern & splitting for armholes.
