When I picked up this yarn a few weeks ago I knew it would become a top for Addie, but beyond that I had no idea what to do with it. First I tried a sideways knit yoke but the yarn, while lovely, is a bit too drapey for that.

I finally settled on this design - a girly little top with gathers at the center back and a reverse stockinette Eiffel Tower eyelet yoke.

I love the end result; the extra fabric at the back creates a cute high-low hem and the green is just lovely on Addie.

Pattern is in the works now. For the tiniest sizes, I’m thinking about having buttons on one of the shoulders to make it easier to put on baby without compromising the closer-fitting neckline.
