Cast-on is official! I’m less than a row away from finishing the border along the hem. Go Holiday knitting!
okay, so I haven’t officially cast on for this one yet, but I have done my gauge swatch and made very, very minor adjustments to the pattern to fit my 19 stitches / 4 inches gauge. Easy peasy. Most likely I’ll be casting on for knitting while en route to B’ham tomorrow.
I miss this project. If only it weren’t stuck in Alabama while I’ve already moved on to Virginia. Hopefully I’ll be headed down to pick up the rest of my things, this sweater included, before the end of this month.
12/28: I finally retrieved this project from Alabama about 5 days before Christmas. Between work and finishing other Christmas gifts, this sweater obviously didn’t get done. But I am just 1.5 inches from finishing the body of the sweater; I should be casting on and finishing the first sleeve by the end of this week. I’m aiming to get this sweater done in early January and give it as a late holiday gift. the boyfriend knows it’s coming, so that should inspire me to get it done.
01/03: Body done, first sleeve in the works. I’m 12.5 inches in, with about 7.25 inches to go.
01/12: sleeves attached and onto the yoke. I have 2 hanks of yarn left; I’m sure it’s more than enough to finish the sweater, but I’m having anxiety over it anyway …
01/18: In the home stretch. Completing the last set of short rows and then the final decrease rounds. I should have just enough yarn left to knit up a pair of simple mittens.
01/20: Done with the knitting. Now for the finishing!
02/09: Blocking! Finally! Maybe by the end of the week Cobblestone will be dry and I’ll make the man-beast model it in front of the camera.
