Planned sock for Summer Sock Camp 2021 hosted by the Crazy Sock Lady

Techniques learned:

• Shadow Wrap Heel

Unwound the Stroll skein and made individual balls of each color where the gradient changed

Using leftover Patons Kroy sock yarn in Gentry Gray for cuff and toe.

12 rounds of ribbing

10 rounds of purple
2 rounds of lighter purple
5 rounds each of orange, dark orange, and yellow

Heel:
1 full round of yellow
Start heel shaping
End with one full round of dark orange to rejoin with foot

Cast off and wove in about 50 ends (per sock) about an hour before the NBA Finals.

I found the toe instructions for a 64 stitch sock to be too short. Instead of stopping 2.25 from the end of the foot, I stopped 2” short.

No blocked photos of the socks, my boyfriend immediately put them on for good luck.

Leg was a tad too short for what my boyfriend normally wears. I didn’t account for the amount of fabric that the shadow wrap heel eats up during the turn. Next time, I need to knit at least an inch more of leg before starting the heel.
