• After split for sleeves, work as written to increase, then work 22r before starting leaf chart.
• After chart, change to #4 needle and adjust stitch count to accommodate tighter gauge (5.25spi). K2, [k5, inc, k6, inc] x 13, k8 = 26 st increase = 179 st 5 purl bumps, do not bind off, keep stitches live
• Pick up for collar adjusting for tighter gauge. I broke down each pick up section and adjusted each for 5.25 spi vs patterned 4.75 spi. Picked up: 9/11/64/11/9 = 104st.
• 5 purl bumps, k1r, do not bind off, keep stitches live
• Button band length should be 19.25” x 5.25 spi = 101 st. Pick up 6 st per hem & collar, the 3:4 for body = 100 st
• 4 st buttonhole
• Work 9 buttonholes: k4, [buttonhole, k7] x 8, buttonhole, k4
• Do not bind off buttonbands, keep stitches live
• I-cord edging: starting mid back neck, place all Collar, hem, and buttonbands stitches on a #5 needle placing marker at each corner
• Cast on for 3 st I-cord. Work icord around edge, at each corner work extra 3 st on body edge before knitting together with the collar/hem/band stitch to “turn the corner”
• Seam last 3 I-cord stitches to cast on edge

• Sleeves: work initial 2 rounds for set up
• Work 19r even, then decrease
• Work 21r even, then decrease
• Work 19r even = 10”
• Change to #4, increase for smaller gauge: [k6, inc] x 7, k3 = 52 st
• 5 purl bumps, k1r, then icord b/o with #5
