• Cute top, but the pattern is not the best. If you’ve knit lace, it’s pretty easy, but if not, it could get tricky. Pattern does not provide very good details on decreasing the eyelet patten on the sleeves
• I worked Sleeves two at a time, to make sure the eyelet pattern was the same on both sleeves
• Sleeve decreases are also slightly unclear. Unlike most sweater patterns that have you decrease at the beginning and end of the round for the the sleeves, this one just has you decrease at the beginning of the round. If I’d done this it would have pulled the sleeves awkwardly, so I alternated decreasing at the beginning of the round for one decrease, then moving to an ssk at the end of the round for the next decrease. Continued doing this until the end
• #3 alternate cable cast on
• 1x1 twisted rib: 10r
• use m1R/m1L in place of kfb to prevent the bump created by kfb
• helix knit with 3 skeins at once to blend skeins
• to make yoke easier, make a chart with the rows, stitch count, and to indicate which rows are eyelet rows
• split for sleeves, co 3ua st = 188st, this i should note is bigger than the schematic of 36” since 188/5spi = 37.6”
• work as patterned for 24r = 3.6”
• work 3 rounds decreasing 1 st each ua = 182st
• work 12r even = 5.75” from ua
• #3 1x1 twisted rib 14r
• stretchy, no flare rib bo
• Sleeves: hoping to extend the length, patterned is approx. 11.5”…ok, scratch that, I don’t think the yarn will make it to extend the sleeves, yardage seems to be off for this size, maybe because the bust is almost 2” bigger than stated in the pattern?
• bound off body, split remaining yarn in half and worked sleeves TAAT to maximize yarn. Would up with only 1g left
• After blocking, sleeves measure 13.75” from underarm, body to hem is 8”
