Notes

I did 24 chains for the cherry stem which I slip stitch back up skipping one stitch about halfway so that it made it naturally want to turn in one direction.

I did 50 chains for the strand between the cherries and the skate, doing the same thing, slip stitching back up the chains skipping one or two chains in the middle so that it creates an natural curve.

I crochet loosely normally so I used a 3.5 mm hook because I wanted everything nice and tight.

On the skate boot I followed directions except for I ended about row seven, on the sides of the boot, and then ripped a few rows of the tongue until it was the height I needed. When it was finished I tacked the tongue of the boot to the top of the skate so that it would not slide down, because this will not be worn, it helps it to always be where I want it. I stuffed the boot to give it some body but because I did not create some kind of top to hold it in, I did not stuff it till it was full.

I got directions for the toe stop from DIYHaus on her project page for this skate http://www.ravelry.com/projects/DIYHaus/roller-skate-baby...
