Determined to use up stash and didn’t want to do another stole or scarf. Luckily, found this fun little number as download on Etsy.

Oct. 27: Body and collar knit and almost finished with the sleeves. Collar needs to be tinked back and lengthened so the purple color blocks match. I think my tape measure is a sham.

Mods: 7 rows of 1x1 ribbing on body and sleeves instead of a facing.

Only deliberate thing about the colors was using lightest at the bottom. Switched up at the armhole bind off on the front so there wouldn’t be a wonky line cutting right through the bust. Got kind of bored and did something a bit different for the back. We’ll see how it goes.

January 11: After an embarrassing amount of time in hibernation I finally got this thing put together. The hold up was what in the heck to do with the collar. Fashion decisions are torture!! Who knew? Anyway the pattern called for cotton batting in the collar but couldn’t bring myself to do that. My experience with that sort of constructions is zero. What if it looked like some furry tube? And who wants to rip back angora? I considered facing it but that was awkward and in the end I attached it as-is and it’s pretty fab. Did a back stitch with wrong side to right side so when the collar was flipped in place, the seam wouldn’t show.
