inspired by LondonLeo’s DropZone and generally powerless against the allure of simple pattern + lace + big needles, I cast on with size 8s and got to the edging before coming to terms with the fact that it looked like a fancy, grass-stained rag.

And since I’m incapable of doing the same thing twice (hi, single socks!) I decided to do my own variation:

• Switched to 5s
• Veil stitch instead of dropped
• 14 rows between sections
• Switched to garter for edge, 20 rows

First time using the Nova Pride Cubics with lace weight and they might be my new favorites. As far as the Freia Lace, love the color shift but so-so on the yarn itself but it does hold up well, considering it’s been double frogged.
