10-26-15 Started after work, knitted for about an hour and a half total, and have 2.5 to 3 inches. Switched to the size 10 and things are going faster.

Knit to 10 inches, and did 3 needle bind-off.

11-4-15 Put ends in today and did a quick whip-stitch to pull the 2 corners of the inside of the hat together.

K2 is not as floppy as the yarn used in the original design so it looks better with it folded up.

Used 4.2 ounces for the Large size. Could easily use a partial skein for this hat. I have also knit fingerless mitts out of the other part of this skein. For those, I just knit two stockinette squares and sewed them up, leaving a thumb hole in each along the seam.
