Mods include: Long tail cast-on and I used size 4 and 6 needles instead of 3 and 5 basically because that is what I had at hand.

I briefly tried the tubular cast-on, which I have never done, but decided to move on to the long-tail cast-on because I was too tired (2 days after SAFF 2015) to focus.

Happy with the hat! I do really like the Kunlun for hats - it feels nice and warm!

The pattern is easy, but the texture provides nice visual interest.
