This pattern is so much fun. My fave things to knit are garter stitch and silky yarns so it was already a winner before I even cast on.

The design is so visually stunning with the majority of the work being done by the change in textures. There are short rows but these are written out line by line so it is easy to follow. I’m a big fan of the German short row (which this pattern uses) and as you can see - no gaps!

The yarn does need to be broken and woven in at each colour change, but I stopped to weave in every few sections rather than leaving it all to the end so it wasn’t too bad.

The border uses a slip stitch technique which is similar to an icord - but differs in that it lays flat. I can’t say enough good things about this design and these yarns. Loved every moment of this project .
