This is my first Papillon Scarf. I tried making it last year but my crochet skills were not up to the challenge and I couldn’t figure out how to work the Butterfly stitch (even after watching YouTube videos).

I’ve loved this pattern from afar for so long that I finally just sat down with my yarn, hook and pattern last week and suddenly it all made sense. I’m chuffed hugely because I feel I’m finely beginning to understand the art of crochet - and I have a lovely crochet scarf to cherish!
