I love this pattern! I start with 32 chains and a 4.5mm hook and finished size is 8-1/2” x 8-1/2”.

• If you crochet the final row and 3 sides in a contrasting colour, you will need approx. 13-15 yards, depending on your gauge. I am a loose crocheter, so your yardage needs may vary.

• When I crochet the final row and edges, I only ch 1 instead of 3, as I find it gives a softer, more rounded look to the shells.
