November 7, 2014 When I realized I was at 298 projects, I thought a good goal was to finish some of my UFOs (unfinished objects, usually called WIPs on Ravelry) before I hit 300. But then my cousin had a baby, and now the holiday are coming, so I decided fuck it. I got together with ArtCrochetByD to get started and teach her the basic increases for a single crochet pattern worked in the round and then decreases for how to close it up. She caught on pretty fast.

I still love making these things. They’re quick and easy that's what she said and a good opportunity to eat up stash yarn. I can sit in my rocking chair with my polyfil stuffing on one side, my yarn on the other and make balls for hours. For some, I’m using the same crochet patterns from 2012: the spiral ornaments; KristyRecycles’s crochet version of Lion Brand’s Holiday Ornament, Ornament, etc. I thought I’d diversify a little this year, so I’ve also been knitting some as well, which you can see on their project page, Christmas Balls 2013 (Knit).
