I needed a not too complicated project. The body is all stockinette with easy increases. The leaves will be a little more challenging, but I may be up to something more complicated when I get there! Still choosing my yarn for the leaves.
10/11 decided on the yarn for the leaves. Originally wanted an autumn hue, but nothing was working. The blue/green color seemed best in both color and texture. Hope they block well. They are quite curly now…but fun to knit. Thirteen done…31 to go!
10/14 Finished the knitting! Now I need to block. Won’t happen for awhile. It’s very curly. I hope blocking really works miracles!
Note: I only have 43 leaves. The 44th was going to hang funny so I removed it and attached #43 to the body. Much better. See photo (unblocked). Maybe I went wrong somewhere?
10/26 I discovered I did make an error on one of the hanging leaves, but it’s not so easy to see while being worn. Blocked this on the morning of my surgery. Been home from the hospital about 5 days now and asked my beautiful daughters to go outside and model/photograph it for me. Only agreed if I didn’t show her face! Thanks for modeling michemosh and for being the photographer alh!
