A wide shallow triangle in my beloved single crochet. Yarn is mostly fingering weight in 23 colours from my stash - scraps, half-balls and full skeins alike!

shawl weighs 390 gm.; 201 gm. of natural; 189 gm. total made up of 23 different coloured yarns.

Band 1 - stripes

• single crochet, 2 rows natural, 2 rows each colour
• every other row; 3 sc in centre st; opposite rows, no inc in centre st
• on all natural rows, 3 sc in 1st & last st
• on all colour rows, 2 sc in 1st & last st

Band 2 - natural lace
row 1 & 2: 2dc in st, sk 1 st
row 3 - 10: 1sc & 1dc in st, sk 1 st

Band 3 - purple border
Row 11, 12: =sc, 3ch, sk 2st= repeat across
Row 13: =sc in 3ch sp, 5dc in next 3ch sp= repeat across
Row 14: = dc in dc, ch1 = 3 times, dc2tog

Top Edging - natural
2 rows sc; 1 row alternating sc flo and sc blo
