My second version of this fabulous and simple pattern. Clearly written with clear charts. Yarn held doubled.

Grassharp gave me the 3-colour inspiration, then ElleL gave me the “interlocking” colour inspiration.

Row 26 - same as Row 18. After Chart 2 ends on Row 25, the repeat is Rows 18 to 25.

On Row 27, this is still tiny in the laceweight doubled - 35” wingspan by 16” spine.

46 gm. of Tortoise left at middle of Row 27; 42 gm. left at end = 8 gm. per solid row now.
42 gm. left at start of Row 28;
20 gm. left at start of Row 32.
Row 32: starting black yarn.
Row 34 & 35: Tortoise yarn. at the end, 8 gm. left.
Row 36: black yarn again

Feb. 5: on Row 42
Feb. 8; finished Row 47, started top edging
Feb. 11; finished crocheting
April 2: handwashed, soaked in Eucalan, and soft blocked.

Mods
Added 4 @ 8 row repeats.
Did 1st row on top edging all across, closed up keyhole on 2nd row.
Omitted fringe.
