I tried DPNs but kept messing up so decided to try Magic Loop method and it worked okay. The pattern was easy to follow but I had to frog rows several times as I kept missing stitches. Finally used markers every 8th stitch to keep track and it was smooth sailing after that.

End result is okay but fit is not. The hat feels too loose and long, not snug as I prefer. Because of that the lace doesn’t stretch out and it didn’t turn out like the sample pics.

As for the yarn, this is my first time using this brand and I like it. It’s not splitty and stands well to frogging.

Not sure if I will frog this or not. It is still wearable. I will have to think about it.
