Notes

Pattern is easy enough. Involves knitting garter stitch, k2tog, yarn over and I-cord. With that said, I can’t believe how many times I had to frog rows because I kept losing stitches or gaining one! I don’t know if it was because of me or the yarn. I choose to blame the yarn.

This is my first time using Classic Elite Liberty Wool. I fell in love with the finished Trixie cowls using the Liberty Wool color ways. Sadly, the love affair ends there. Although it’s supposed to be worsted weight, it was super thin, thinner than DK weight. It is also very splitty which proved a problem for me during the K2tog and yarn overs. The yarn was very loosely wound and my guess is it will help puff up the finished project. Finally in the middle of my work, there was a knot connecting the yarn in one ball! Yikes!

Waiting for my cowl to dry after wet blocking it. Looking forward to grafting the two ends together.

I finally grafted the two ends via Kitchener stitch. I found it easier to follow YouTube instructions. However, this didn’t go without a hitch. I don’t understand this project, up to the finishing process, I kept losing stitches. I had to unravel my Kitchener stitch once as I ended up with uneven number of stitches even though I counted before starting. Needless to say, this is the last time I’m using this brand of yarn.
