My cousin purchased some wonderful 100% alpaca fibre at an alpaca farm when she was in New Zealand. She gave it to me for spinning and knitting. As she said she wants something like a shawlette, I decided to take the “Holden” pattern that is very easy to knit it on my daily travel to work by bus.

I began in April to spin the yarn and completed the shawlette on June 24th. It became a bit too small, may-be it would have been better with some bigger needles, but at least it is enough to warm the neck.

I hope so much my cousin will like it.

Update:

I gave the shawl to my cousin at family Christmas celebration - and she was really happy about it, so I am happy too!
And: she gifted me 300 gram grey alpaca yarn from this alpaca farm - I think I became even happier than her ;-) I am very excited to prepare something for me of this new yarn!!!
