This project knit up quickly, but even though I had proper gauge, my measurements aren’t what were indicated in the book. I used a teensy bit of bright calico and rice to create the warming pack, and in my microwave 1:30 is just perfect. Also, I got lazy and the only limbs that I grafted shut were his ears--arms and legs I just pulled shut like you would the top of a hat. My little guy loves it!

This project is a great gift and took me probably 6-8 hours total (including sewing the rice pack, etc.)… And I’d put the total cost at just under $20.
