I fell in love with the baby wearing this bunting on the picture of the Leaflet I bought from Walmart back in 1996. I was pregnant at the time and really wanted my baby to look just like that!!! So I crocheted it just like the picture, bright white but with pink and white animal buttons. It turned out so cute and when my baby, Victoria (she’s 16 1/2 now) wore it at 5 or 6 months she was just as adorable if not better than the little baby on the picture! I don’t know what happened to Victoria’s bunting and I wish I had put it away for safekeeping but it didn’t happen. :(

Now my stepdaughter, Nadia, is due August 2013 and is having a boy so I thought I’d make another bunting in reminiscent of the one I made over sixteen years ago. This time I made it in ecru (Caron baby yarn) which I think would look better on the baby because I know he will be a little more dark complected. I used these animal buttons from Amazon called BaZooples and they made the bunting look complete and just as cute and adorable!!!
