Ended up as a really fun project. It took three hours to relearn crochet and make three sample squares as my gauge had changed. Had to go down hook sizes. Really happy with the result.

I’m actually repairing moth damage, So many of the squares need to be rehooked, I’m listing it as a new project.

15 years later, I’m not so fond of the 27 colors and would prefer the new replacement squares to add some harmony.

I already have the red. Hmm what other two colors can I use?

Oh - and I need to go down FOUR hook sizes! A combo of washing, shrinking and loser crocheting.
