At some point I lost the buttons. Julie decided she only wanted one button that could easily be swapped out to change the look.

Did a seed stitch collar and for the button bands. Reinforced buttonhole.

Julie might add a seed stitch hem and cuffs. I offered to show her how to do these, as I need to work on birthday gifts and my projects now. Revitalizing an old pattern and modifying it was fun and interesting.

NOTE: there are worn areas in the back. I don’t know mending, so I left these alone for fear of making them worse.

Oct 16 - Seaming is done. In the process came across two big holes. Looks like it was rubbed against something.

Also, the ends are not woven in; they are knotted together and cut short.

The project is from someone who passed away in a nursing home. It was given to my friend, who knitted the sleeves but had not finished a pieced sweater before.

It needs seaming, button bands knit and attached.

Button bands will be moss sitch.

The pattern booklet is from 1966.
