Oct 21st - Sewd on a mixed bag of buttons on the Amtrak to Rhinebeck. Finished with 30 minutes to spare.

Oct 23 the button band was way too long and pulled the front of the cardi. Removed than and when held along side they were 4inches too long!!!

Reknit and sewed them on again - perfect now.

July 30 - started on the sleeves

It’s moving along quickly, with only 15 minutes a day. Most of the body is complete. Cabling without a cable needle is the only way to go.

Easy to memorize pattern. Once you have the increases done - just an easy knit.

Have reknit the start three times!!

1 - Got gauge with 5 & 7, but after 7 inches saw it was so tiny and tight. Cast on again with 6 & 8

2 - Had a YO instead of an increase and unraveled for 3 inches - hell of a time picking up stitches in a cable pattern!

3 - reknit all and then saw the cable pattern was off by one row. aaargh! Unraveled a few inches again. Think it is OK now and almost done with the first ball of yarn - heading toward the sleeve/body division
