Notes

I definitely recommend this class to anyone who would like to learn stranded colorwork. It was so much fun and Mary really takes you step by step through the whole cowl. I love her teaching technique. Learned so much!!

I didn’t do the last motif (corrugated ribbing) My cowl seemed like it was at the length it should be, plus I liked the star motif at the top. :)

Finally figured out how hold the yarn and it doesn’t feel so foreign anymore, I can knit faster now and I have a rhythm going. (Note: I forgot to switch from 6 to 8 until round 4, didn’t feel like ripping back, so just changed the needles on round 4 of diagonal pattern)

Still trying to get a rhythm going with the holding of the strands….. but it’s going well! I love learning new things, so this is fun!

Bumped up needle size. This yarn to me is between a DK and worsted.

(Notes to self)

This cotton / acrylic yarn is so soft. I can’t wear wool, and am always hot no matter how cold it is outside. I think this is going to be perfect!
