Followed pattern using needles suggested but only used fingering weight yarn without the mohair, so that the finalgauge was a little smaller than needed. Final size ended up more like a newborn size instead of 3 month size.

Well written pattern, though it had a few new to me techniques, which required some re-reading and research in to others’ projects of the same pattern. Found from there a great YouTube video demonstrating attachment of I-cord strap to bonnet, which is such a clever way to attach a strap!!

Loved the pattern and have knit three altogether! Later two were knit with same yarn and size 6 (4.0 mm) needles to get gauge.
