• 24 stitches wide rather than 22
• After the heel, picked up 2 stitches on each side. Then k2tog at the start of each half row for two rows to get back to 24 on each side
• Used Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off

9/23/12 - Done! Amazing how much faster these go than a blanket. I remembered the reinforcement thread on the second heel, so we’ll see how it wears compared to the other one.

9/19/12 - Finally done with the first sock! Instead of the pattern BO, I used Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off with a size 8 needle and it worked. I also realized while doing the ribbing I forgot to use reinforcement thread on the heel. But hopefully I’ll remember on the other one and can compare how they wear. Now for sock number two.

9/17/12 - Finished sock one, and then realized it didn’t fit over his heel, despite using the BO in the pattern. Ripped back to the start of the ribbing, guess I’ll try a different BO.

9/14/12 - The yarn finally arrived! This is my first real pair of socks, though I’ve been practicing some in the meantime. While the pattern calls for CO 22, I’m gonna go with 24 and see how that works out - he has wide feet. Also using Jawoll Reinforcement Thread on the toes and heels.
