Knitted 8 garter rows.

Followed pattern until the the KP1 and KP2 4 row pattern (5th paragraph of the short row shaping section) and did that part about 9x.

Next paragraph, KP1, KP1, KP2, about 7x, thinking I’d run out but really I had more than enough to go up to 8x.

Decided that my picot bindoff was probably going to be messy so I chose to do the picot sewn hem bind off.
CC: After the eyelet row:
Purl 1 row.

Bind off on the wrong side. I just did a regular purl bind off with sz 10 needle.

blocking these points may be easier than picot edging which sometimes can be messy when I do it. But I forgot how long it takes to sew the picot edging for the entire shawl.

Pre blocking measurements: 58” across, 16.5” at the widest point, including the border.
Blocked to about 75” across and 17”

The shawl is like getting a nice warm hug after coming in from wet, rainy day. The malabrigo makes it soft, comforting and very warm while the miles of stockinette is unassuming and reassuring. I was thinking of giving this one away, but I don’t think I can now!
