My Physical Therapist Shea has been a miracle worker in reducing my scar tissue in my left foot. Over the last 2 months, she has helped me restore the flexibility in my tendon and strengthened the muscles around it so I no longer feel the pain of walking on broken glass every time I stand up.

Tomorrow is my last session with Shea and I wanted to give her something personal, so I made her this soft and cozy pom-pom scarf.

I didn’t use the pattern that came with the yarn; I developed my own. It’s basically a 2x2 rib with an edge.

I cast on 10 stitches (instead of the 8 suggested in the yarn label pattern), and I used size 13 needles instead of 15s. I purled the first and last stitches of each row to keep the edges from rolling.
