This yarn is slightly sticky, like cobwebs. It’s weird and somewhat annoying to knit. However, the resulting fabric is soft and light and airy, which is just what I was hoping for. The stickiness makes the drop stitches kind of a pain, but with a little fiddling they do come apart and look wonderful.
I made my scarf 63 stitches wide, 3 repeats of the pattern. It’s looking like the width may end up being about 12” or so when blocked. Not sure how long I want it to be.

Huh, the weather got less humid and the yarn got less sticky. It’s much nicer to deal with now. Interesting.
This pattern is fun and not terribly difficult to knit. The drop-stitch rows happen often enough to be an entertaining break from the back-and-forth rhythm of the thing.

Moving right along, and I’m getting to a piece of the color sequence that just makes me say “Huh. Really? Somebody did this on purpose?” The pink is ok with the blue, and the blue is ok with the murky mustard-green, but the pink near the mustard is just awful. We’ll see how it ends up once it’s knitted. Maybe the blue in between will be enough of a buffer.

Done, and the colors are just fine after all. I tried pinning it out dry, then dampening it, but it still wanted to be all scrunched and curly. So I soaked and wet-blocked it, and that worked much better. Ran a cotton string up each long side, since I don’t have blocking wires.
