Knitted as a Christmas present for my 87 year old father, but having already pulled the yarn out from a failed attempt with another pattern, I struggled to finish this project.

I made quite a few alterations, based on my dear papa’s measurements.

I knitted a XL, with 65cm body length and 45cm sleeve length (I can’t remember a time when he didn’t have the cuffs of his shirts and jumpers folded back).

Well written pattern, easy to do, just lots of plain knitting in the larger sizes, thank you Vera! A great pattern to have in my collection as I think it will be easy to adapt to a different stitch.

And, as always, Daintree from Skein is the most beautiful yarn. It does drop on blocking, so it is important to swatch, but the finished project is soft and cosy. In the Navy is my favourite colour and the perfect colour for papa, thank you Kristen!
